Boutique Hotel de Valk has been located in a historic building since 1922. In those days it already had an inn function. The building was located opposite the then station of Valkenswaard. It was situated on the line from Eindhoven to Belgium. This line was unfortunately discontinued in 1962.
In 1953 the hotel came into the hands of Mr. J. Smets and the building had 10 hotel rooms. In 1986 his daughter Godelie Smets took over the helm and expanded the hotel with 18 rooms, equipped with private bathrooms, TV, radio and telephone and all accessible via an elevator.
But it did not stop there and many other renovations have taken place to keep up with the times. Currently the hotel has 26 rooms including a suite.
